Well, what a start to 2009, with tragic fires in Victoria and the damaging floods elsewhere. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected.
The last winter crop season saw increased fuel and agrichem prices as well as the RECORD fertiliser prices. The catch cry for years in farming has been "gross margin".
Well, where'd that go?
Our R.U.M. customers are maintaining and improving theirs and, despite what last season threw at us, this would be a bit of a novelty in farming or any other business.
By the time most of you read this the team from Beaulieu R.U.M. will have endeavoured to walk in the "footsteps of heroes" along the Kokoda track.
All going well, we will be commemorating the memory of our fallen soldiers at the ANZAC dawn service, Isurava memorial, PNG on our final day of walking.
The book "Kokoda" by Peter Fitzsimmons is an inspirational read!
In the meantime - with the uncertainty of the weather - don't forget Beaulieu R.U.M. can be applied BEFORE, DURING or AFTER rain!
