The use of Liquid nutrients has come a long way in the last decade or so!
Since urea hit record high prices, then had limited supply, we have seen demand increase for UAN and other liquid options.
Unfortunately UAN, unlike R.U.M., has the tendency to burn off crop if a little heavy handed, and, knock spray gear around a bit. Some other liquid options have had limited success.
Fifteen plus years ago my Dad, Choc Irwin, developed Beaulieu R.U.M. Liquid for the purpose of giving crop "a bit of a top up" if the season permitted. Little did he realise R.U.M.-grown crops would utilise conventional nutrients more efficiently, as well as having long term soil conditioning benefits.
Happy customers are the best advertisement. To give you an example I would like to share an excerpt from an email sent in by a 15 year 3L/ha R.U.M. veteran from WA:
"I do not use any urea. Crop is sown with fertiliser, previously Agras now using DAP. When our seasons do the right thing and we have a good finish I have achieved barley and triticale yields up to 5+ tonne with only these inputs. Our soil types are typical south west jarrah shallow gravel/loam duplex soil not renown for having high organic matter, normally 2-4%. Ours are now up around 9-12%, near neighbours still in the low range."
Now to help kick off the season this year we are offering a 30 cents per litre saving for orders paid for by June 30.
Oh and don't forget... R.U.M. can be applied before, during and after rain. This increase in the window of application has some real advantages.
Cheers,
Peter
